John McDonough

John J. McDonough, 75, of Middleton formerly of Lynnfield and Somerville, died on Tuesday, February 14 at his residence.

Born in Somerville on June 26, 1936, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Shea) McDonough.

John was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1953 and Bentley College. He had retired in 1999 from G.E. in Lynn as an Accountant. Mr. McDonough was a member of the Billerica Golf Club, St. Agnes Church in Middleton and Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield.

John is survived by his wife Mary T. (Clerkin), his three children; John M. McDonough of Lynn, Colleen A. McDonough of San Francisco, CA and Steven P. McDonough of No. Hampton, his two brothers; James McDonough of Reading and Michael McDonough of Windham, NH and his sister Ann James of Billerica. Mr. McDonough is also survived by his 6 grandchildren.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Salem and Grove Sts., Lynnfield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of the Assumption Church Development Fund, 17 Grove St, Lynnfield,, MA 01940.
